Where the Passion Begins

Tina Owen-Moore is the author of The Alliance Way: The Making of a Bully-Free School and founder of The Alliance School of Milwaukee, the nation's first school started with a mission of addressing bullying and teaching others to do the same. Since opening the school in 2005, she has led 100's of workshops and trainings for school and systems leaders on bullying, school culture, restorative practices, and democratic leadership. She is passionate about making sure that all schools are safe and inclusive places for all students.
Executive Director, Bully-Free Sports
Velvet Moore-Owen has more than 25 years of coaching experience. She sees sports as a powerful tool for preventing and addressing bullying and is committed to teaching young people life skills through sports. At The Alliance School, she created the school's first basketball team and brought them to a second place championship and more recently she has committed herself to helping young people who have experienced bullying to develop confidence through sports. Whether you need coaching support for adults or young people, she can help.
